Los Angeles, CA – The International Press Academy congratulates Satellite Award-winning composer Laura Karpman on her latest achievement as Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“Laura Karpman was commissioned by USA Fencing to compose the official fencing anthem for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28).”
Karpman received the Satellite Award for Best Original Score at the 28th Satellite Awards, held March 3, 2024, for her acclaimed work on American Fiction.
“An accomplished composer whose work spans film, television, theater, and interactive media, Karpman continues to distinguish herself through an extraordinary range of musical storytelling. Her selection to create the official fencing anthem brings her artistry to one of the world’s most celebrated international sporting stages.”
